Modifications/History Car shipped to Sydney on SS Belevelyn and was received into Nuffield (Aust) inventory on February 22, 1952. Car was originally painted Grey with Red Trim and sold on April 23, 1952 to W.O.H. Davey, 24 Hopwell St, paddington, N.S.W. Bill Stevens bought # 11341 as a bomb for $200 in about 1964 to have fun with, took off mud guards fitted a roll over bar & VW seats, then boxed up the lot, took the car to Mackay Qld, Inverell NSW, then Melb in1976 for restoration as a retirement project. Unfortunately Bill passed on early in 1998, however his wife planned for their sons to complete the restoration. Bill's son Craig arranged for the cars restoration in Melbourne. It was then passed on to brother Mark who subsequently sold it to cousin Ken the current owner. Ken Brownrigg made contact in February 2011. Car is almost fully restored and in good condition needing only a small amount of work for completion. |
