Modifications/History Car shipped to Sydney on SS Belevelyn and was received into Nuffield (Aust) inventory on February 22, 1952. Car was originally painted Red with Red Trim and sold on June 19, 1952 to T.A. Smith 119 Pacific Parade, Dee Why, N.S.W. Dealer was Barclay Motors. Car was once MG Red with beige trim. Car purchased by Garry in June 1973 in Ashfield NSW. Wire wheels fitted in June 1973, 4.8:1 rear axle ratio fitted in March 1992, close ratio Needham gearbox fitted in June 1996. Car won National Concours in 1981, 1983 and 1st NSW MGCC Concours in 1983 and 1986. Gary passed on towards the end of 2011 and the car is now in the safe hands of his daughter, Imogene Magilton. |
