Modifications/History Abingdon factory records show that TD 11148 has a build date of October 23, 1951.When originally built this car was painted Ivory with red trim. Car shipped to Australia on SS Cardillora and was received into Nuffield (Aust) inventory on 4/1/1952. Nuffield Sydney records show the car may have been used as a factory demonstrator. The car was first registered in Victoria on April 13, 1953 as GAN 777 and subsequently JKG 055 on January 5, 1966 and then JTH 762 on June 1, 1967. A full restoration was completed in January 1996 including a 4.3:1 diff and electronic ignition. The engine was totally rebuild in December 2009. Bore now 69 mm, giving 1346 cc. Comp Ration 8.75:1. |
